Why is the Body Wash not thick??
Our body wash is made with saponified coconut oil and essential oils with herbal extracts, and we do not use any artificial thickeners. Its consistency is naturally light and fluid, which helps it spread easily through the hair and cleanse gently without leaving residue. The focus is on natural ingredients and effectiveness, rather than a thick texture.
Are they preservative free?
Yes. Our body wash does not contain any artificial preservatives, yet it stays safe and effective because the herbal extracts are carefully processed to retain their natural properties. Combined with saponified coconut oil and essential oils, this ensures a gentle, long-lasting, and natural hair cleansing experience without the need for chemical preservatives.
How are bathing soaps made?
Saponification is the process by which an acid and a base combine to give you what we know as soap or a cleanser. The sodium hydroxide (base) combines with the pure coconut oil (fatty molecules and acid) to give us the cleanser. This is the fundamental process of making soap.
Depending on the base used, the soap contains sodium or other salt, glycerin, and water. In most cases, the glycerin is removed and sold separately, and parabens and other chemicals are inserted in its place. In our soap, there is no such reduction. This handcrafted soap has sodium salt, glycerin, and water and is made to cure for 21 days so all traces of the original base and acid are completely converted.
This gentle soap is then tested in a government-certified lab to ensure that curing is complete.
